In 2013, the recommendation was for 6 class sessions with the field trip being one or part of one.
I have taught the course in 6 sessions and in 3 all-Saturday sessions.
The 6 sessions included a field trip either to a site of interest to that group of students, or on-site when taught at a botanical garden.
The 3 all-day sessions included on-site field trip.
Now that there are additional materials for pollinator management and maintenance, I am wondering what others have found to be a good division of sections and when to include field trip. Please share lessons learned, any recommendations from your own experience. I thank you!
